About The Expat Directory Job Section

The Expat Directory Job section contains categorised job listings for simplified access and search by web users and automated search engine spiders.  This means that users can locate relevant vacancies quickly and efficiently via external search engines and directly through our site.  Job vacancies abroad are submitted directly to the directory and, once checked, promulgated onto the main site.  This provides our users with simplified browsing as all vacancies can be easily located (pages optimised, categorised etc) and ensures piece of mind for companies who use the service.

Why should I add my vacancies to this site?

Our Search Engine Optimized web pages have been designed to ensure optimal interpretation via search engine spiders.  This means that vacancies published through our site reach a wider audience than normal recruitment sources.

The Expat Directory is more than just a Job directory, this means that your vacancies will be visible to a broader audience than provided by traditional stovepipe targeting.  More importantly, the service is completely free!

The Expat Directory is collaboratively run by Expats worldwide, data is added via contribution and therefore the running costs are very low and covered by the advertising generated through the site.  Our aim is to provide value added, relevant content without charge.  By advertising your vacancies through us, you build on this aim whilst gaining the benefit of free access to a relevant audience.

The Expat Directory does not force its users to become 'Members' in order to access the site facilities.  We do not collect personal data (with exception of our Blog Users who provide minimal data for Authorship reasons), our users find the relevant vacancy and contact you directly.  Our function is simply as a facilitator, this means that recruiters get the full honest information and site users do not have to worry about abuse, misuse or accidental loss of their personal and private data.

How do I add a vacancy?

Adding a vacancy couldn't be easier, there is no need for knowledge of html, databases, passwords etc.  To add a vacancy:

  1. Submit your company information and contact details (you only need to do this once, unless you wish to change the details). Submit your company now.

  2. Submit the vacancy details. Submit your vacancy details now.

We then check the posting before publishing it to the site job directory. 

I want to add multiple vacancies, is this possible?

Yes.  You can submit as many vacancies as you wish.  Multiple vacancies can be submitted via spreadsheets (please ensure that all fields in the vacancy form appear in your spreadsheet).  Alternatively, you can contact us and request a formatted Microsoft Excel spreadsheet for your use.

Why isn't the Vacancy published immediately?

To avoid Spam, grammatical errors, intentional or accidental abuse.  This process ensures that all our users are protected.  Whilst we aim to publish all vacancies within 24hrs of receipt, on occasions this may take a little longer depending on commitments.

How do I advertise my company on this site?

You can add a 468x60 banner or text add to our Job section from just $20.00 per month.  For more information, please contact us to discuss your requirements.

Can I support The Expat Directory in other ways?

Yes.  You can add articles and information in support of Expatriates i.e. TAX advice, interview preparation techniques etc.  You can also provide financial donations to the site by using the button at the base of this page.  Please note that donations are not necessary for promulgation of vacancies or use of this site.  Donations are used to expand the facilities within The Expat Directory and procure additional server space/maintenance etc.
