Architects as a group are probably the most creative people. They challenge, connect, visualise, harmonise, improvise, reorient, and synthesise. In simpler term, it means that they make new things and make old things better. People in the arts are creative too; but their creativity deals with thoughts or emotions. Architects creativity is directed at environmental creation and manipulation and affects nearly everything we see or touch.

It is these reasons that taking an Architectural job abroad can be so satisfying.  Whilst most first world countries have achieved marvels, second and third world countries provide the opportunity to test your skills to the limit.  Apart from the satisfaction of knowing that you made a difference, the boost to your portfolio (for future employment) and great rates of pay, you will be satisfied in the knowledge that you proved your worth.  So where will you be next week, scanning the specs for another extension or designing new infrastructure in Thailand or China?
