Construction and Property Jobs and employment abroad, work overseas
Life as an Expatriate worker in the construction industry
can offer many exciting opportunities but usually at a
price. Construction jobs runs as projects and are
therefore finite in length.
In fact the average Expatriate Worker in
the Construction industry stays abroad for less than a year.
This is partly due to the duration of projects and required
skills and part to the working conditions/requirements in
comparison to workers expectation. Construction sites
can be remote and local infrastructure limitations mean that
you could find yourself camping close to the site itself.
The camps themselves can be poorly managed and not always
overborne with the best facilities.
So is all bad? Of course not, there
are many Expatriate worker enjoying huge benefits and living
great life's from the construction industry. Those
that take the plunge and move family with them (normally for
longer projects or when joining a construction organization
abroad) tend to fair better.
As always, those that survive and do well
are those who do their research. (You can find some hints
and tips to get you started under the Information and Advice
tab to the right).
As a current 'top tip' for construction
industry jobs and vacancies; LONDON [in the United
Kingdom] is currently undergoing massive transformation in
preparation for the 2012 Olympic games. Key skill
